“White and Black"

I was walking along Pacific Boulevard in Vancouver. Almost back to my car, I was pulling out my keys with one hand and holding both my purse and camera bag in the other. Out of the sky, swoosh. Then another swoosh close above me and maybe fifty more.
A corvid murder descended on a bag of popcorn scattered over the parking lot. But then a heavier swoosh. A grey one. A fat gull decided to play truth or dare.
