"Man meets nature. To me, one of the starkest examples of this are power and telephone lines coexisting along trees. Purely for the benefit of man, they slice through an otherwise green land. They buzz with information and energy. People walk their dogs underneath them, rarely even meeting the gaze of another approaching human. These lines are connectors. They link our homes to modern comforts. They enable us
to talk to each other. Yet, we don’t even say hello anymore. We are disconnected. As a protest our busy lives, I disrupted the lines in this painting."
